Computer schwach? Hier sind die Requirements. Versuchen Sie es einfach oder schließen Sie nicht benötigte Programme. Besorgen Sie sich einen besseren Computer: leihen Sie sich einen von Verwandten, Freunden, der Universität, ... oder kaufen Sie einen besseren.

TODOs in the Exam Course:

  • Make sure you have registered your ID card/photo ID.
  • Make sure the SMOWL terms of use are marked as read.
  • Make sure the exam guidelines for remote supervision with SMOWL are marked as read.

We recommend:

  • Join the Zoom meeting before the start of the exam.
  • Check if SMOWL is correctly installed (on both computer and smart device) ~ if in doubt, uninstall it from your computer, restart the computer, and reinstall SMOWL.
  • Go through the SMOWL instructions.

Still experiencing issues? If so, try the following:
Here’s a list of options:

  • Check your internet connection.
  • Consider switching from Wi-Fi to a wired connection.
  • Close all programs that are not needed.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Restart your router.
  • Look for other network users and ask them to minimize their bandwidth usage.
  • Update your browser and operating system.
  • Switch to a different browser.
  • Change your router/internet connection.
  • Check the privacy settings of your OS and browser.
  • Camera not working? Often the camera is being used by another program—close it if you don’t need it! Use Zoom with the camera turned off!
  • Weak internet connection? Close all unnecessary network programs or look for a better internet access point (friends, university, relatives, switch to a better host ...). Just try it.
