In dieser SMOWL-Anleitung zeigen wir Ihnen, wie Sie sich bei SMOWL ~~registrieren, wie Sie SMOWL installieren~~registrieren und wie Sie SMOWL ~~starten.~~starten und installieren.

SMOWL-SMOWL Registrierung

Um mit der Nutzung von SMOWL zu beginnen, müssen Sie den SMOWL-Block auf der rechten Seite des Kurses aufrufen. Die verschiedenen Funktionen des Blocks werden im folgenden kurz erklärt.

Hinweis: Falls Sie den SMOWL-Block nicht sehen können, klappen Sie diesen am rechten Rand des Kurses mithilfe des Pfeil-Buttons auf.

1. Enrolment link

Über den Anmeldelink (Enrolment link) können Sie sich registrieren. Diese Registrierung ist erforderlich, damit Sie an einer Prüfung oder Demoprüfung teilnehmen können. Sie müssen sich nur einmal registrieren, da die Registrierung systemübergreifend für Moodle gilt.

Mit dem Webcam-Check können Sie überprüfen, ob Ihre Webcam ordnungsgemäß funktioniert und korrekt eingerichtet ist.

Installation

5.1. Starting SMOWL CM and Installation of SMOWL CM

Navigate to a demo exam. Usually there is a demo exam your moodle course or a demo exam is linked in the moodle course. At least you do the following steps before the real exam starts.

When you´re starting a SMOWL exam, you will be asked to start SmowlCM. This is required to start the exam:

Try out the exam´s demonstration in which is part of your exam moodle course.

Note 1: If you have to install SMOWL first time OR If your SmowlCM is reported as out of date, click on the menu:

and click on Download CM copy the link in any web browser to access the download page.

Note 2: If you have problems with the webcam, close all programs that use or may have used the webcam if it has not been properly enabled. Browser plugins can also occupy the camera; restarting the browser and, if necessary, uninstalling the relevant plugins will help.

Note 3: If don´t find the SMOWL Block and the menu then scroll in the Webbrowser upwards. Flip out the blocks.
That buttom will show you the blocks inclouding the SMOWL block.

62 Second Camera in SMOWL

The second device is a smartphone or tablet with android or IOS.

First of all: The position of this second cam
Position the smartphone or tablet so that the desk, monitors and you can be seen from the side - i.e. profile of the face and hands.This means that the second camera should film to the right or left of you from a slightly elevated position.

On this device is only a QR code scanner app needed.
You only need it for the second cam.
Close all unnecessary apps and connections to save power. Set it into fly mode with WIFI or plug in a docking station to have cabled network.

You can access this view when all systems are working properly. Set the smartphone to horizontal mode / widescreen.
Select in the menu:

Switch to QR code mode.
